Brown Looper

ophiusa coronata
Our attached bathroom, a glorified outhouse, admits anything from the jungle small enough fit through the space between it and the container. Included are rats, snakes, lizards, spiders, throngs of ants, mosquitoes and occasionally, a lovely specimen like the one above. Again I queried the pros over at r/whatisthisbug and user joot78 linked to butterflyhouse.co.au, where I was able to read about this creature. The only loops it flew were around the naked lightbulb. Wings spread, it flared to the size of my palm.
More of this, jungle, and less rats and mosquitoes, please.
